At the Walworth County Commission’s Thursday (November 3) meeting, the board heard presentations from three different insurance companies on health and life options for county employees. They plan to approve one of the plans at their next regular meeting on November 22nd.

The Commissioner approved the action taken by the Planning and Zoning Committee on both WEB and Jess Schilling differences.
The Commission approved a public utility license to occupy Venture Communications’ crosswalk right-of-way. Also, an amended county utility permit for West River Telecommunications allows highway inspectors to inspect on behalf of the county sheriff one year after completion.
For the Sheriff’s Department, the Commissioner has authorized an additional budget hearing of $108,140 for payroll and insurance. A public hearing will be held at the first Commission meeting in December.
Voting for the November 8 election will take place on Thursday, November 10.
The Commission has approved assistance from the Legislative Audit to update the 2020 and 2021 Annual Reports at a cost of $3500.00.
