Burton woman pays off student loans with $100,000 Michigan lottery prize

Lansing, Michigan (WJRT) – After winning $100,000 on Big Spin Show in the Michigan State Lottery, the Burton couple are forgiven of their student loans.

Alysha Flaig was selected to spin the winnings on a TV lottery show by entering an unsuccessful The Big Spin instant ticket in a second draw. The 35-year-old spin landed in the $100,000 space.

“When The Big Spin first came out in 2019, my husband and I attended many non-winning tickets,” says Flaig. “This time she entered one ticket that didn’t win and got 50 entries.”

She and her husband plan to use the winnings to pay off student loans.

“I couldn’t be more excited and grateful for this experience,” said Flaig.
