BOXX Insurance Acquires Cyber Platform Templarbit – Reinsurance News

Toronto-based cyber insurance specialist BOXX Insurance has acquired cyber intelligence platform Templarbit.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but BOXX said it gave the company “further momentum” to pursue its vision of “making the world a digital and safer place.”

With teams in Palo Alto and Los Angeles, Templarbit was founded in 2017 by Bjoern Zinssmeister. Templarbit has built a technology that alerts businesses when their platform identifies network vulnerabilities that hackers can exploit.

The platform autonomously discovers, categorizes, and analyzes an organization’s digital assets, each digital asset’s unique risk profile, and the actual business cost incurred when a digital asset is compromised.

BOXX co-founder and CEO Vishal Kundi said: This demonstrates the strategic importance of proactive cyber risk protection to the continued growth of your business. We are thrilled to welcome Bjoern and the Templarbit team to BOXX. “
