OLYMPIA, WA — Port Angeles, WA resident Casey Lee Garner was added to the Mike Kreidler Insurance Commission’s Insurance Fraud Most Wanted List (insurance.wa.gov) after being indicted for insurance fraud.
If you have information that could lead to his arrest, please contact your local law enforcement agency or contact Kreidler’s Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU).
Casey Lee Garner was indicted by the Clalham County Attorney’s Office for attempted first degree theft and false allegations or evidence. He did not appear for arraignment and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
Leading up to this indictment, a CIU investigation alleges Garner was involved in a single-vehicle crash in December 2021. At the time of the loss, Garner had no insurance. An hour after the crash occurred, Garner was insured by Progressive. He later filed a damage claim against GMC Sierra for 2006, stating that the collision occurred hours after purchasing his insurance policy. Progressive was able to confirm from cellphone records that the collision occurred before Garner purchased insurance. Progressive dismissed Garner’s claim for $6,374.91 and turned it over to the CIU as required by state law.
The CIU investigates insurance fraud and works with relevant law enforcement agencies, state and local prosecutors to investigate criminal cases. Insurance fraud costs the average family $400 to $700 a year. Insurance companies are required by law to report fraud to the Commissioner.
If you suspect someone is committing insurance fraud, report it to a Kreidler investigator.
