Apply for a Small Business Management Loan | Charlotte County, Florida

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (October 11, 2022) – Eligible residents and businesses affected by Hurricane Ian are encouraged to apply for a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loan. SBA provides low-interest, long-term disaster loans to businesses of all sizes, private nonprofits, homeowners and renters. There is no cost to apply for the SBA Disaster Loan.

SBA’s disaster loans cover losses not fully covered by insurance or other resources. Survivors should not wait for an insurance settlement before submitting an SBA loan application. They may discover that they were not insured for the deductibles, labor, and materials required to repair or replace their home.

You can apply online using the electronic loan application form from SBA’s secure website at: Disasterloanassistance.sba.gov Or visit the Disaster Recovery Center, currently located at The Home Depot, 12621 South McCall Rd., Englewood. DRC is open daily from 9am to 6pm.

Call the SBA Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 to request a paper application. If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech impediment, please call 7-1-1 to access the Communications Relay Service or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.

Homeowners may be eligible for disaster loans of up to $200,000 for structural repairs or reconstruction of their primary residence. SBA may also help homeowners and renters with up to $40,000 to replace important personal property, including automobiles damaged or destroyed in the disaster.
