Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company, with offices in Canton, provides personal and workplace insurance solutions nationwide. Anna Maria College has established an educational partnership with Anna Maria College to give Anna Maria students exposure to real business through internship opportunities, guest her speakers, and an established life insurance company.
Boston Mutual offers paid internship opportunities to Anna Maria students each semester. Undergraduate and graduate students should be interviewed for newly created positions in Boston Her Mutual’s Distribution and Business Development, Customer Experience, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, and Enterprise Risk Management departments. Positions include remote options, improving accessibility for students. Students benefit from corporate mentoring and learn about the diverse opportunities available in New England’s major economic sector, the insurance industry.
In addition to providing students with hands-on work experience, Boston Mutual’s Chairman, CEO and President, Paul A. Quarant Jr. (’11G), has made the company’s representatives work with Anna Maria’s Global Business Club. Invited to a guest speech session. Quaranto personally leads her two sessions and provides students with industry knowledge directly from her executive executives.
“As an Anna Maria Alumni, I am honored to give back to an academic institution that provides such a well-rounded educational experience for its graduates,” said Quarant. “By providing opportunities for these students and engaging them in the classroom, this partnership demonstrates our commitment to supporting the communities in which we live and serve by investing in the workforce of the future. It is consistent with the organization’s commitment and we are honored to partner with Anna Maria on this collaboration.”
An internship program and speaker sessions represent the first elements of this collaboration between Boston Mutual and Anna Maria College. Looking ahead, the two organizations envision future projects together.
Anna Maria College Dean Mary Lou Retel said: “Through Paul’s leadership and support for his alma mater, this partnership will open up new career paths for our students and create opportunities for them in key business sectors. I look forward to giving.”
